¿Do you speak Spanish? is a Spanish school that is specialised in teaching Erasmus students that come here from anywhere between 3 and 10 months.
Our lessons will help with the language basics for a quick and easy integration.
Our school is recomended by Erasmus Student associations at the main universities in Valencia thanks to their high quality and low price.
The lessons are only minutes from both campuses and there is free wifi for all students.
WHO CAN COME TO THE LESSONS?
Anyone who is interested in learning the language, whether they are Erasmus, an exchange student, or simply a visitor who has come to spend some time here.
WHO ARE THE TEACHERS?
The young and dynamic teachers will encourage the students to use their Spanish from day one. They are Spanish teachers with university training and teaching experience with teaching Spanish to foreigners. All the teachers speak English so if you really don't understand something you can always clarify but the classes are taught in Spanish.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE THERE IN EACH CLASS?
The groups are small and in one group there can be from 4 to 12 students. There is also the option for one on one tutoring.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
A total of 30 hours is 170€ (Currently on offer at 120€). There is also the possibility of taking more or less lessons.
WHEN ARE THE CLASSES?
We know that apart from learning the language you have lots of other things to do such as finding a flat, choosing modules, going to university or working, So we have developped our system to be completely flexible. The timetable of a class completely depends on the group of students (for example you could do 3 hours every day, or 4 hours over 2 days each week until you have completed the set amount of hours, you can choose the time of each class — depending on the group, and the availibility of the professor.)
ARE THERE ANY OTHER PAYMENTS?
There are no hidden payments. The initial test of what level you are at, the material and the certificate of attendance are provided by the school and are included in the price.
WHAT LEVEL OF SPANISH DO I HAVE TO BE?
There is teaching available for all levels of Spanish. Our levels of education are adapted to common reference levels established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) developed by the Department of Language Policy of the Council of Europe, specifically the Curricular Plan of the Instituto Cervantes.
The levels will be the average of the class after each person has completed a test to determine their level, if a student needs to change class this is possible.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT MY LEVEL OF SPANISH IS?
Through a test which you can take in the office, or if you are outside of the country and want to secure your place in the course we can send it to you by email. Finding out the level of a student's Spanish is very important in order to assign them to the appropriate group according to their knowledge, It's not an exam so make sure you do the exam without any help or without googling the answers.
HOW IS THE COURSE TAUGHT?
The course consists in reading, oral and writing. The course finsishes with an exam that you have to pass in order to get the certificate which states what level you have achieved.
WHEN DOES THE COURSE START?
There are always new courses starting. There are no set dates. So if you are interested simply ask us and we will give you the next possible date according to your level and availibility. Remember that the groups are very small and that PLACES ARE LIMITED.
